Lemon balm

Lemon balm is known mainly from the salutary action on the nervous system, toning, relaxing and sleeping. It is used to relieve symptoms associated with menstruation, and in the case of neurosis of the stomach, bloating and constipation. Brew a cup of lemon balm will also help the digestive system after a hard digestible meal on a cabbage, beans or peas. An infusion of the leaves of lemon balm should also be drunk during frequent colds, because lemon balm is known for its effective antiviral activity, particularly the viruses that cause herpes labialis. An infusion of the leaves of lemon balm is also recommended in my field with chronic headaches and chronic tiredness. Lemon balm also improves cognitive functions such as memory, delays and relieves the symptoms of dementia because the infusion of lemon balm leaves should regularly drink the elderly or people wanting to improve brain function. In addition, due to the presence of antioxidants lemon balm slows the aging process.  Infusion of the leaves of lemon balm also works:

  •  antispasmodic – reduces the smooth muscle tone digestive systems,
  • increases the secretion of digestive juices,
  • acts anti-inflammatory and antibacterial,
  • recent studies also showed cytotoxic activity of lemon balm that inhibit cancer cell division.
