Lavender flower is extracted from lavender angustifolia (lavender) – a small shrub coming from the Mediterranean. Lavender is grown in many parts of the world because of the medicinal properties and a lovely smell. Fresh and dried lavender flowers are used in herbal medicine, cosmetics and in cooking as an aromatic spice.
